Welcome

Towards the end of His time with His disciples
Our Lord Jesus said to them,
"Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations;
baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you.
And look, I am with you always; yes, to the end of time."

(St.Matthew's Gospel Ch.28.vv.19-20.)

In this huge task we are encouraged by the Church to use every modern means of communication. Significant among these is the worldwide web. It gives me much pleasure therefore to see the launch of our parish website. This comes about as we celebrate this weekend the Feast of the two great Apostles, St.Peter and St.Paul who played vital roles in the early days of the Church.  29 June 2009

About us

The Catholic parish of Whitstable includes the whole town from Swalecliffe to Seasalter, out towards Blean and including Dargate.

We have two churches, the parish church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception to give it its full name - but more commonly called Our Lady Immaculate - in Northwood Road and our smaller church of St.Joseph in Chestfield Road,Chestfield. We have the valuable Parish Social Centre in Castle Road(just behind the parish church).

And finally the Presbytery at 37, Kingsdown Park with the Scout Headquarters beside it which is put to very good use by our, happily, growing Uniformed Organisations.

The website will be expanded as time goes on and I hope you will find it a valuable resource in your own spiritual journey.
